The project
The simplest solution to this problem was the construction of a temporary office building in the immediate vicinity. The useful life of this temporary facility was set at 6 years, after which the building would be dismantled and the land area renaturalized.
The execution: Since the space conditions were rather limited, a three-storey building (ground floor; upper floor 1 and upper floor 2) of approx. 40 m length, 6 m width and 9 m height was created. Since the rear retaining wall could not be used for the foundation, individual foundations had to be constructed.
The construction method
In the front part of the building, elevated point supports were concreted directly onto the retaining wall. All load distribution to the foundations is provided by a steel girder grid supported by the floor elements of the first floor. The superstructure above was built using conventional frame construction, with the interior walls being non-load-bearing. Special attention was required for the fire protection concept and the escape routes, all of which had to be strictly adhered to. The facade of cement-bonded particleboard (nbb) takes into account the distances between buildings, which in some cases were below standard. A two-meter projecting wall bar prevents a fire from spreading to the window front at the smallest building distance.
