The wheel has been turning again in the Schlossmühle Aarau since 1974. At that time, it came to Aarau as a gift from the Bözen mill. But the wheel turned in vain. The inside of the mill was empty, serving as a storage room. Now the castle mill is being extensively renovated. Timbatec calculated the statics of the many wooden components.
Soon the water wheel water wheel grinds grain, mustard and spices. At work is the Gesellschaft zur Aarau Castle Mill. They want to get the castle mill up and running again.

The power of the water wheel is sufficient to operate the mustard mill. The heavy millstones for the grain are set in motion electrically. The company has not only renovated and refurbished the interior of the castle mill. It has also created an additional room that is used as a mustard cellar. "We also plan aperitifs and cultural activities there," explains Urs Wälchli.
