Hello, hello Hamburg! After five years of development, we are bringing our Swiss timber construction expertise to Germany. With a deep understanding of structural design, structural analysis in timber construction, fire protection and building physics, Eurocode-fit and locally anchored. Jari Janowski has been managing our office in Hamburg since 1.9.2025.
Welcome Hamburg | New for you on site
After almost five years of intensive work, we are bringing our Swiss timber construction expertise directly to Germany. What sets us apart is our holistic understanding of timber construction - from structural design to fire protection and building physics.
Our precise work processes, powerful calculation tools and in-depth understanding of planning have so far borne the hallmarks of the Swiss SIA standards. In order to be able to apply our expertise seamlessly in Germany, we have consistently transferred our knowledge to the Eurocode and the German planning culture.
In the meantime, we have successfully implemented our first projects and gained valuable experience in other European countries. We are particularly pleased that our engineering team has now grown by eight German colleagues. The close collaboration across borders has enriched our cooperation in the long term and strengthens us every day.
Structural design in timber construction goes beyond pure statics
Because: structural planning in timber construction goes far beyond pure statics. It requires a deep understanding of design, construction, production processes and assembly procedures - it is precisely this holistic perspective that sets us apart.
We are therefore all the more pleased that Jari Janowski has been on site in Hamburg as Head of Timbatec Germany since 01.09.2025. He combines the best of both worlds: Swiss timber construction knowledge and a deep understanding of the requirements of timber construction in Germany.
We were able to move into our new offices in Hamburg with our colleagues from Beissert + Gruss Architekten at Hegestrasse 40.
