Internship year with completion of the Bachelor's thesis
The internship in a timber industry company is an important part of the timber construction engineering course at the Bern University of Applied Sciences, Architecture, Wood and Construction in Biel. Interns gain their first professional experience as engineers and write their final thesis (Bachelor's thesis). The internship makes it easier to enter professional life afterwards. We are delighted that we are able to welcome a large number of interns back to the company later on as well-trained specialists.
«Timbatec Academy» - our career program
Timbatec Holzbauingenieure Schweiz AG is continuously involved in the training and further education of young, motivated specialists. Over 90 interns from the Bern University of Applied Sciences and ETH Zurich have already started their careers with us as timber construction engineers or technicians. We also give students from various universities and colleges abroad the opportunity to do an internship at Timbatec or one of its sister companies in the Timbagroup companies. We take a lot of time to provide students with personal support. The trainees are fully integrated into the teams right from the start. We see active and individual support as the recipe for success in recruiting our specialist staff.
