High-tech trusses for the «Nägelimoos», Kloten sports hall project

Three elongated school buildings and a striking central building with a double gymnasium and attached head building together form the school ensemble of the «Nägelimoos project» in Kloten. Impressive spruce/beech trusses set architectural accents as a gymnasium ceiling construction. Timber construction of superlatives.
Trusses at the «Nägelimoos Project» sports hall, Kloten
Implenia Schweiz AG Holzbau installed imposing spruce/beech trusses that span the new double gymnasium ceiling over a length of almost 30 m for the major school ensemble construction, conversion and repair project 👉«Projekt Nägelimoos» in Kloten/ZH. The prefabricated high-tech timber components are around 3.20 m high. Further timber elements will then be added on two storeys to form a multi-purpose room with a stage and additional classrooms with group rooms.

Cooperative interaction between the specialist planning teams
In close cooperation with the specialist planning teams of neue Holzbau AG, Lungern, Makiol Wiederkehr AG, Beinwil am See and Lignatur AG, Waldstatt, the work planning teams of Timbatec Holzbauingenieure Schweiz AG were commissioned with planning work in advance. This included expert planning of the structural components (including clarification and implementation of connection details and plausibility checks with regard to ease of assembly). In addition, smooth transportation logistics were ensured by designing and creating the loading plans for the flatbeds.
