Successful graduations and new hires at Timbatec. Here we provide insights into the personnel changes at Timbatec. We warmly welcome our new employee Muriel Althaus and the new employees Lorenz Obrist, Stefan Dangl and Jonas Unruh and wish them a good start.
Change in marketing
We welcome Lorenz Obrist to the Timbatec family. Lorenz Obrist will be Timbatec's communications manager from mid-August. Another person joins the group on 1 October as marketing manager for all Timbagroup companies. Simon Meier is leaving Timbatec after five years to pursue a new professional challenge. We thank Simon for his commitment and wish him all the best professionally and privately.
Welcome Lorenz Obrist
Lorenz Obrist knows the timber industry inside out and is a proven marketing specialist. He has worked, among others, for Balteschwiler AG and ERNE AG Bauunternehmung as Head of Marketing and Communication. We are pleased to have been able to win Obrist for Timbatec and wish him a good start.
Career start at Timbatec
For the Bachelor of Science in Wood Technology at the Bern University of Applied Sciences in Biel, an internship is an integral part of the course. Other universities recommend internships to their graduates as a career start. As a training company, Timbatec always offers internships to young professionals. Our former interns Selina Regamey, Phil Fehse and François Gross successfully completed their Bachelor's degree in wood technology this summer - we are proud of you and congratulate you warmly on this success. It is always a pleasure for us to support young talents and accompany them in their education. We are particularly pleased that all three of them will remain with us as young engineers.
Welcome Stefan Dangl
Stefan Dangl has more than 20 years of experience in the timber industry and has proven himself as a professional and leader in various roles and companies. Since 2022 he has been leading Holzbauplan, an innovative company offering timber engineering and consulting, expert opinions and construction supervision for timber construction projects. We are pleased to have been able to win Stefan Dangl additionally for Timbatec.
Welcome Muriel Althaus
Muriel Althaus has a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the ETH Zurich and did an internship at Locher Ingenieure during her studies. She also worked as an assistant at the ETH. We are pleased to welcome Muriel to our team as of 1 September.
Welcome Jonas Unruh
Jonas Unruh graduated in civil engineering at TU Braunschweig and is currently completing his professional internship at Timbatec in our office in Vienna. We wish him all the best and an exciting internship.
