Projects

This year, we were able to participate in countless exciting timber buildings, open 317 new projects and complete 164 construction projects. More and more large investors and public developers are turning to wood as a renewable raw material, and timber construction is constantly establishing itself for new types of buildings. This year, we were particularly moved by the use of wood in infrastructure construction. The Council of States and the National Council have adopted the motion "Research and innovation of wood as a material for use in infrastructure construction as a decarbonization contribution". Infrastructure construction is one of the largest CO₂ emitters in Switzerland. The main cause is the use of reinforced concrete. By increasing the use of wood, infrastructure construction could contribute to decarbonization. The first good examples have been built, but there is still great potential for development. An eventful year for TS3

Our spin-off TS3 had a successful and eventful year. Stefan Zöllig handed over the management to Sven Bill. Zöllig founded TS3 AG in 2014 and brought the technology to application maturity with several research projects together with ETH Zurich and BFH Biel. Since then, more than 30 projects with a total of around 14,000 m2 of TS3 floor space have been built in Switzerland, Austria, the USA and Canada.

Zöllig is an innovator in the timber construction industry. He has exciting projects with basements in wood and scrimber, which he can now push forward with all his might thanks to the handover of the management to Sven Bill.
